The nearest airport is the Airport of Bologna Guglielmo Marconi.
The airport of Bologna has very frequent direct connections to all major European Hubs (Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, London, Amsterdam).
From the airport, a shuttle is available, which leaves at the following times:
6.15, 8.15, 9.15, 10.15, 12.15, 16.15, 18.15, 21.15 to Modena. Get off at Modena railway station. In regard to how to reach the conference venue from Modena reailway station, please take a look at the following section.

By Train

Modena has direct connections by train to/from Milan, Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris.
You can visit www.raileurope.com or www.trenitalia.com to discover how to reach Modena by Train from European and Italian train stations, respectively.
Once in Modena railway station, you can catch buses 11 or 4 and get off either at “Canalgrande Bivio Emilia Est” or “Garibaldi”.  For further information about buses in Modena, visit www.setaweb.it/mo

Afterwards, you can easily reach the conference venue in 5 minutes walk. The Canalgrande Hotel is located in Corso Canalgrande 6. From Modena train station, it is also possible to directly reach the conference venue by walk [Maps].

By Car

(A) From the South: Bari/Roma/Bologna and Bologna Airport. A14/A1 Highway – Modena South exit.  Then, follow traffic signs to Modena. Once in the city, Canalgrande Hotel is located in Corso Canalgrande 6 .

(B) From the North: Milan/Brennero and Malpensa – Lainate Airports ( Milan airports ). A1/A22 Highway – Modena Nord exit. Then, follow traffic signs to Modena. Once in the city, Canalgrande Hotel is located in Corso Canalgrande 6.
